Roger Schenk
President & Treasurer
Roger Schenk has lived in the Sherwood area for 25 years. He is a former teacher and coach in the Sherwood School District. Roger was Jason and Aaron’s varsity basketball coach.
Rick Hassmann
Chairman of the Board
Rick Hassmann worked at Sherwood High School for 15 years. He served as a basketball coach, counselor, athletic director, Vice Principal, and Principal his last six years before retiring. He is looking forward to continuing the fine work the Foundation is doing in serving the community of Sherwood and honoring Sgt. Jason Goodding.
Jon Dickover
Vice President
Jon Dickover has been a Sherwood resident since 1983. He and his 11 siblings are all Sherwood High school graduates. Mr. Dickover has been a teacher in the Sherwood School District for 19 years. He was awarded the 2017 Sherwood Chamber of Commerce’s Golden Apple Award for teaching. He and his wife are raising their 2 sons in Sherwood.
Mark Gribble
Fundraising/Sponsorship Coordinator
Mark is a local business owner and class of 1990 graduate from Sherwood High School. Mark joined the foundation to honor the memory of his friend Aaron Contrareas. He and his wife are raising their 3 children in Sherwood. HIs children often volunteer at Bowmen Family Foundation events.
Wayne Pykonen
Board Member
Wayne’s family moved to Sherwood in 1987. He is a Sherwood High alumni from the class of 1994 as well as an alumni of Oregon State University. Mr. Pykonen was a former classmate and teammate of Sgt. Jason Goodding and he joined the Bowmen Family Foundation to honor his friend. He believes, “Heroes should be remembered.”
Don Livingston
Board Member
Don grew up in Sherwood and maintains close family ties throughout the Sherwood community. He too is a 1990 graduate from Sherwood High School. Don is a long time veteran of the Portland Police force. He and his wife are the proud parents of Malia who excels on and off the volleyball court. Malia also regularly volunteers at the Bowmen Family Foundation events.
Nathaniel Martin
Secretary
Nathaniel grew up in Sherwood and has now made it all the way to Newberg. He was a classmate and teammate of Jason in the class of 1994. He got involved in our organization not only to help Jason’s family, but also to help all children in the community. He is also involved with his kids’ school raising money for projects and volunteering time in the school. He travels extensively and is a big fan of the Atlanta Braves, having seen them play in 30 different stadiums (and counting).
